Innovation Sparks Impact: USC Marshall Shapes Global Dialogue with Second Annual Innovation Coast Conference
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bringing leading innovators together for a day of cutting-edge insights, the second annual Innovation Coast Conference comes to USC's University Park Campus on Tuesday, May 17.
Hosted by USC Marshall's Center for Global Innovation, the conference is a can't-miss event for anyone seeking to leverage innovation as a driver of global business success. "It's a unique opportunity to hear from, and interact with, incredible speakers who are literally writing the next chapter on how innovation can fuel a company's organic growth," notes Gerard J. Tellis, director of the Center for Global Innovation, holder of the Neely Chair in American Enterprise and professor of marketing, management and organization. "Whenever you have C-suite level thinkers together in the same room, remarkable things can happen."
The conference will enable participants to hear from and network with influential talent representing high-profile industry segments like space and virtual reality. Speakers such as Bill Gross, founder and CEO of IdeaLab, and Walter O'Brien, CEO and founder of Scorpion Computer Services, will share their perspectives on emerging trends and potential challenges in their fields.
Also planned for the event is the Innovation Pitch Competition, a chance for small and large companies to pitch their innovations to a panel of industry experts in consumer products, digital media, software or medical devices. Contestants will vie for $45,000 in cash prizes; previous winners include Disease Diagnostic Group, a pre-revenue medical device company specializing in the development of rapid, accurate and inexpensive disease diagnostic tests, and Reebeez, a lightweight solid-state microengine that can revolutionize power propulsion systems in small, unmanned aerial vehicles.
